Hey guys,
So I have to admit I have been a bit absent the past month- a lot has been happening so I thought what better than a catch up session.
After today I promise to do a weekly post on Mondays so I can keep you up to date on progress and I want to hear all about yours!
The past month has been a bit of a blurr really (here come the super honest parts). It started off with going to Bali with Aaron (my husband), we made a week gap and just took the chance for a quick holiday....
At the end of the holiday I picked up a nasty tropical bug so that left me useless/ unable to gym for about 2 weeks!! (Im not good with being told I cant do something)
Then after 2 weeks I found out I had a low grade cervical cancer so had to go in for a procedure to get rid of it... meaning another 3 weeks off- no running, biking, lower body exercises ARGGG I just couldnt believe how things were going.
Currently I have one week left of only upper body but have come to the firm conclution that the moment you really focus on a goal something will try and stop you. It may be "friends", co-workers or situations that leave you feeling a bit stuck but you know what? KEEP GOING ANYWAY!!
Just focus on what you can control- for me it is eating 100% (since no cardio) and working my upperbody to its full potential. There will always be something you can do to get past it so just focus on the goal and work hard.
In between the negatives Ive had a few shoots and a few shows coming up so ill make sure to get some pics of that for you.
I just want to leave you with a thought for this week- What would you do today if you knew you couldnt fail?

Be different- its ok!
A lot of people are talking to me about what Im doing and saying how they want to do it too... when they hear 3x a day gym its a whole different story.
My goals are my goals for a reason- its something that I want to accomplish and will do what it takes to get there- meaning giving up treat foods, that extra 30min sleep in and drinking on a Saturday night.
I have realised how lonely this sport is so tonight Im reaching out to everyone who wants to do this and do it right. You dont have to be like the other 99% of people and its not going to be the end of the world to be different. Believe in something and it will all be worth it.
I have been working really hard & want to share this with you. Yesterday was measurement day ( and my birthday to top it off!).
12/07/13- 02/08/13 3 weeks of training.
I have lost a total of 2.3% body fat.
3.7cm off my chest
3.5cm off my waist
2.6cm off my hips
1.5cm off my thigh
0.9cm off my arm
The results have made me very happy and its staight into more training so keep going guys, dont give up and just make sure you measure as its a wonderful feeling seeing your training working.
Saturday night and Im off to the gym for my own party...Yay!

Goals goals goals!!
Goals are only dreams until you write them down.
Don't think you guys would be happy with me if that was it for today so let me elaborate. Create a goal by being specific in your dream.... Mine is to cut 20% body fat & win the Arnold Classic Class F (over 170cm) in 2015...big goal right? Breaking it down I have done a different goal month by month with big events like my first comp in May 2014 (10months away) etc...
To really be motivated by your goal you have to see it not just written down but as a picture so I watch videos & look at people who are where I want to be- not to be exactly like them but to gain inspiration- especially if I'm just about to hit the gym! I work 6 day weeks so sometimes need a help being motivated for anything but sleep :P
Your goals will also help you stay focused so you don't skip a gym day or eat meals that you shouldn't be. Here are some of the pics I use for inspiration/ goal focus.....

3 little beauties
Hey guys,
Ive been a bit caught up in training and not writing- oops! I wanted to share 3 of my new favourite things with you today:
First 2 are for fat loss- yes FAT not WEIGHT.... Weight means nothing- if you work really hard at the gym and see the scales go up you could have lost body fat and gained muscle (awesome!) but instead you will be upset as the scales show you something different so please get off the scales and measure something else :D anything else!
1# Fatloss tool: D-fine 8
I started taking this 2 weeks ago and am an ABSOLUTE fan!! I normally hate the taste of supps but this one is amazing, I got fruit punch and still love the taste- unlike most that make you feel ill 1 week in.
I have tried a few thermogenics & other fat burners but most just make my heart rate sky high and I feel dizzy when I workout.... not a good idea. D-Fine8 on the other hand makes me feel super keen to workout and happy all day.
What is does is reduces your appetite & works as a fat burner plus has caffine for all day energy. My husband drank this one day by accident (its the same color as his creatine) and he was freaked out by not being hungry all day! Clearly works.
Also to help with fatloss it has:
- 8 grams of fibre
- CLA
- B Vitamins
- Green Tea
-Synephrine (super fat burner- is legal unlike Ephedrine)
2# Fatloss tool: L- Carnitine
This you can buy in capusule, liquid or tablet form and each releases differently but basically what L- Carnitine does is helps your body convert fat into energy (bit more specific: its used to transport fatty acids into the mitochondria which is your cells powerhouse- from there it is converted to energy and is available to use immediately).
This allows you to train harder for longer with no pre workout needed :) also working away at our fat stores which is why its so handy for fat loss.
And just as another bonus some of the other effects are: improved memory and mental capacity, faster healing of sports injuries/ recovery time & promotes healthy skin BAM!
Take it on an empty stomach just before you exercise- I use Optimum Nutrition 500mg (2 in am, 2 in PM before cardio sessions)
#3 My favourite at the moment: STRAPS! I would not survive without these at the moment- Means you can hold onto heavy weights when your hands just wont grip properly.... lifesaver.

Motivation
Day 1 of real weights training today so now I have started my 3x a day gym routine!
I am heading to Bali for a weeks holiday in 4 weeks which is why I have stepped into such an intense routine- 20min interval cardio in the am, weights session in the afternoon & 40min cardio after that.
The biggest thing I am finding since its winter is trying to stay motivated to a few things I do is to:

The biggest thing I am finding since its winter is trying to stay motivated to a few things I do is to:
- Pre-make all my meals & eat every 2 hours as I find my willpower lowers if Im hungry and have nothing with me.
- Check out videos of inspiring people.
- Look at pictures so I have a clear goal in my head of where I want to be in 10months.
Heres some of todays inspration for you xx

Why follow this blog?
Ok I have never written a blog post before so here goes....
I should start off by saying why Im writing this, a little about me and what you will find posted her in the following months.
Firstly all you will find here is total honesty.
At the age of 22 I own my own business, am a model, presenter and former Miss New Zealand.
I have just started on a MEGA fitness and weight loss challenge- being a size 8/10 most people think I am fit and healthy but that's not really the case.
I am currently 36% body fat and a size 8/10 so look healthy but that's not healthy for me.
I am training to compete in an IFBB Bikini Pro contest in May next year so I want to show people the hard work and dedication behind what they see in magazines and TV. I will post everything from my shoots/ gym/ nutrition.
Nothing worth having comes easy! I want to inspire others to eat well & live a healthy lifestyle.
If this sounds like you then follow along my journey and please post any questions or comments ill make sure to answer them :)
